Learner, training &amp; assessment policies<\/h2>\n<p class=\"gl\">These policies apply to every course we deliver, online and at our Basra centre, and follow the centre requirements of NEBOSH Learning Partners and the other awarding bodies we work with.<\/p>\n\n<details id=\"equal-opportunities\"><summary><small>Policy 1.1<\/small>Equal Opportunities, Diversity &amp; Fair Access<\/summary><div class=\"bd\">\n<p>Every learner has the right to access our courses and assessments without discrimination.<\/p>\n<h4>Our commitments<\/h4><ul>\n<li>We do not discriminate on the basis of gender, age, religion, ethnicity, nationality, disability, social background or any other characteristic.<\/li>\n<li>Entry requirements, course information and fees are published clearly and applied the same way to everyone.<\/li>\n<li>Learning materials and assessment arrangements are reviewed to remove unnecessary barriers.<\/li>\n<li>Staff and trainers are briefed on this policy, and breaches are handled under our disciplinary procedures.<\/li><\/ul>\n<span class=\"std\">NEBOSH Learning Partner requirements<\/span><span class=\"std\">Ofqual General Conditions (principles)<\/span><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"reasonable-adjustments\"><summary><small>Policy 1.2<\/small>Reasonable Adjustments &amp; Special Consideration<\/summary><div class=\"bd\">\n<p>Learners with a disability, a temporary injury, a learning difficulty or other circumstances can request support so the assessment measures their knowledge fairly.<\/p>\n<h4>How it works<\/h4><ul>\n<li><strong>Reasonable adjustments<\/strong> (for example extra time, a reader, a separate room or adapted materials) must be requested before the assessment, with supporting evidence.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Special consideration<\/strong> may be requested after an assessment when illness, bereavement or another event affected performance.<\/li>\n<li>Requests are submitted to us and, where required, forwarded to the awarding body (for example NEBOSH), whose decision is final.<\/li>\n<li>Adjustments never change the standard being assessed.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"malpractice\"><summary><small>Policy 1.3<\/small>Malpractice &amp; Maladministration<\/summary><div class=\"bd\">\n<p>We protect the integrity of every qualification. Malpractice is any deliberate act that compromises an assessment or certificate; maladministration is any failure to follow the rules, even if unintentional.<\/p>\n<h4>Examples<\/h4><ul><li>Cheating, copying, plagiarism or use of unauthorised material or AI tools in an assessment.<\/li><li>Impersonation, sharing of exam content, or falsifying documents or results.<\/li><li>Issuing a certificate without the required training and assessment, something we never do.<\/li><\/ul>\n<h4>Our response<\/h4><ul><li>Suspected cases are investigated promptly, confidentially and fairly; the individual is informed and can respond.<\/li><li>Cases involving awarding-body qualifications are reported to the awarding body as required (for example NEBOSH).<\/li><li>Sanctions can include cancelled results, withdrawal of certificates and removal from courses.<\/li><li>Anyone can report concerns to <a href=\"mailto:ceo@sqw.academy\">ceo@sqw.academy<\/a>; reports in good faith are protected.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"assessment\"><summary><small>Policy 1.4<\/small>Assessment Integrity, Invigilation &amp; Exam Conduct<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><ul>\n<li>Every certificate is issued only after the learner completes the required training and passes the required assessment, this is how our certificates stay recognised.<\/li>\n<li>Exams are run under the awarding body&#8217;s instructions for conducting examinations, with trained, independent invigilators and identity checks against an official ID or passport.<\/li>\n<li>Open-book and online assessments are checked for originality; remote invigilation follows the awarding body&#8217;s rules.<\/li>\n<li>Exam papers, scripts and records are stored securely and retained for audit by the awarding body, our clients and the authorities.<\/li>\n<li>Training attendance, assessment evidence and photographs are kept so that every certificate can be audited.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"appeals\"><summary><small>Policy 1.5<\/small>Appeals<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><ul>\n<li>A learner can appeal a result or a decision (including malpractice or reasonable-adjustment decisions) in writing within 14 days of being informed.<\/li>\n<li>Appeals are reviewed by someone who was not involved in the original decision; we respond within 20 working days.<\/li>\n<li>If the qualification belongs to an awarding body, the learner can escalate to that body (for example NEBOSH&#8217;s enquiries about results and appeals process).<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"complaints\"><summary><small>Policy 1.6<\/small>Complaints &amp; Feedback<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><ul>\n<li>Complaints can be made by phone, WhatsApp, email or in person; we acknowledge them within 3 working days.<\/li>\n<li>We investigate fairly and aim to resolve within 15 working days, explaining the outcome and any action taken.<\/li>\n<li>If the complaint is not resolved, it can be escalated to the relevant awarding body or authority.<\/li>\n<li>Learner feedback is collected after every course and reviewed in our quality meetings.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"conflict\"><summary><small>Policy 1.7<\/small>Conflict of Interest<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><ul>\n<li>Trainers, invigilators and assessors must declare any personal, family or financial relationship with a learner or client.<\/li>\n<li>A person with a conflict of interest will not invigilate, mark or make decisions about that learner&#8217;s assessment.<\/li>\n<li>Staff who take an assessment themselves are invigilated independently. Declarations are recorded and reviewed.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"safeguarding\"><summary><small>Policy 1.8<\/small>Safeguarding &amp; Learner Welfare<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><ul>\n<li>We provide a safe, respectful learning environment, in person and online, free from harassment and bullying.<\/li>\n<li>Our services are intended for adults; any learner under 18 requires guardian consent and additional safeguards.<\/li>\n<li>Concerns about a learner&#8217;s safety or welfare are handled confidentially by a designated member of management.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"trainers\"><summary><small>Policy 1.9<\/small>Trainer Competence &amp; Approval<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><ul>\n<li>No course opens without an international trainer authorised, approved and certified by the same awarding body.<\/li>\n<li>Trainer qualifications, experience and approvals are verified and kept on file; trainers complete continuing professional development.<\/li>\n<li>Teaching quality is monitored through observation, learner feedback and results.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"certificates\"><summary><small>Policy 1.10<\/small>Certificate Issue, Verification &amp; Replacement<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><ul>\n<li>Awarding-body certificates (NEBOSH, IOSH, Highfield, IIRSM, CPD, CQI | IRCA) are issued by those bodies after their quality assurance; this normally takes at least one month after the assessment.<\/li>\n<li>Quality World certificates carry a unique code that anyone can check at <a href=\"https:\/\/sqw.academy\/zh\/certificate-verification\/\">sqw.academy \u2192 Check Your Certification<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>A letter confirming enrolment can be issued while a certificate is in process. Replacement certificates require identity verification.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"refunds\"><summary><small>Policy 1.11<\/small>Fees, Cancellation, Transfer &amp; Refunds<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><ul>\n<li>Fees and what they include (training, exam fees, materials) are confirmed in writing before payment; payment is confirmed only on receipt of the transfer receipt.<\/li>\n<li>A learner may transfer to a later group of the same course once, subject to availability.<\/li>\n<li>If we cancel a course, the learner chooses a full refund or a place on the next group.<\/li>\n<li>Exam fees already paid to an awarding body follow that body&#8217;s refund rules.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/details>\n\n<h2 id=\"management\">2. Management system policies<\/h2>\n<p class=\"gl\">Our operations are run in line with the ISO management system standards we train, audit and certify against.<\/p>\n\n<details id=\"quality\"><summary><small>Policy 2.1 \u00b7 ISO 9001<\/small>Quality Policy<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><p>We deliver training, inspection, consulting and supply services that meet client, regulatory and awarding-body requirements, measured by learner results, client satisfaction and audit outcomes. We set measurable quality objectives, review them in management reviews, act on complaints and nonconformities, and continually improve our processes.<\/p><span class=\"std\">ISO 9001:2015<\/span><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"hse\"><summary><small>Policy 2.2 \u00b7 ISO 45001<\/small>Occupational Health &amp; Safety Policy<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><ul>\n<li>Provide safe and healthy conditions at our centre, at client sites and during practical training (working at height, confined space, rescue, lifting and scaffolding).<\/li>\n<li>Identify hazards, assess risks and apply the hierarchy of controls before every practical activity and site job.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with Iraqi labour law, client site rules and the OH&amp;S requirements of the oil and gas operators we work for.<\/li>\n<li>Consult workers and learners, report and investigate incidents, and continually improve OH&amp;S performance.<\/li><\/ul><span class=\"std\">ISO 45001:2018<\/span><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"environment\"><summary><small>Policy 2.3 \u00b7 ISO 14001<\/small>Environmental Policy<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><p>We minimise waste, energy and paper use, prefer digital learning materials, manage waste from practical training responsibly, comply with environmental obligations, and support our clients&#8217; environmental and ESG goals.<\/p><span class=\"std\">ISO 14001:2015<\/span><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"continuity\"><summary><small>Policy 2.4 \u00b7 ISO 22301<\/small>Business Continuity Policy<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><p>Critical services, courses in progress, exams, certificate records and inspection reports, are protected by backups, alternative online delivery and recovery plans, so learners and clients are not affected by disruptions.<\/p><span class=\"std\">ISO 22301:2019<\/span><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"anti-bribery\"><summary><small>Policy 2.5 \u00b7 ISO 37001<\/small>Anti-Bribery &amp; Anti-Corruption Policy<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><ul>\n<li>We prohibit offering, giving, requesting or accepting bribes, facilitation payments or improper gifts in any form.<\/li>\n<li>Results, certificates, inspection outcomes and tenders can never be influenced by payment or favours.<\/li>\n<li>Third parties acting for us must follow this policy. Breaches lead to disciplinary action and, where required, reporting to the authorities.<\/li><\/ul><span class=\"std\">ISO 37001:2016<\/span><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"conduct\"><summary><small>Policy 2.6<\/small>Code of Conduct, Ethics &amp; Whistleblowing<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><p>Staff, trainers and contractors act honestly, respectfully and professionally, protect confidential information and avoid conflicts of interest. Anyone can raise a concern confidentially to <a href=\"mailto:ceo@sqw.academy\">ceo@sqw.academy<\/a>; no one is penalised for reporting in good faith.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n<h2 id=\"integrity\">3. Impartiality, confidentiality &amp; integrity<\/h2>\n<p class=\"gl\">As an organisation accredited by IQAS (Ministry of Planning) for ISO\/IEC 17020, 17025, 17024 and 17021, we commit to the impartiality and confidentiality requirements of those standards.<\/p>\n\n<details id=\"impartiality\"><summary><small>Policy 3.1 \u00b7 ISO\/IEC 17020 \u00b7 17024 \u00b7 17021<\/small>Impartiality Policy<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><ul>\n<li>Inspection, testing, personnel certification and management-system certification decisions are based only on objective evidence.<\/li>\n<li>Commercial, financial or other pressures are not allowed to compromise impartiality. Risks to impartiality are identified, recorded and reviewed regularly.<\/li>\n<li>We do not certify a management system that we have provided consultancy for, and trainers do not take certification decisions for their own learners.<\/li>\n<li>Inspectors and auditors sign impartiality and conflict-of-interest declarations.<\/li><\/ul><span class=\"std\">ISO\/IEC 17020:2012<\/span><span class=\"std\">ISO\/IEC 17024:2012<\/span><span class=\"std\">ISO\/IEC 17021-1:2015<\/span><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"confidentiality\"><summary><small>Policy 3.2<\/small>Confidentiality Policy<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><p>Information obtained from clients and learners during training, inspection, testing, audits and certification is kept confidential and used only for the service requested, unless disclosure is required by law, by an accreditation body or by the client&#8217;s written consent.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"lab\"><summary><small>Policy 3.3 \u00b7 ISO\/IEC 17025<\/small>Testing &amp; Calibration Quality<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><p>Calibration and testing are performed with methods that are validated and traceable to recognised standards, by competent personnel, with controlled equipment and documented measurement uncertainty, so results are technically valid and reproducible.<\/p><span class=\"std\">ISO\/IEC 17025:2017<\/span><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details id=\"certification-complaints\"><summary><small>Policy 3.4<\/small>Complaints &amp; Appeals for Inspection and Certification<\/summary><div class=\"bd\"><p>Clients can appeal an inspection or certification decision or file a complaint in writing. It is handled by people who were not involved in the original activity, and the outcome is communicated formally.
