Inspection intervals

How often should your equipment be examined?

These are the intervals recognised as good practice internationally (LOLER and PUWER in the UK, LEEA guidance, EN 365, NFPA and manufacturers’ instructions). Your operator’s rules, Iraqi regulations or the equipment manufacturer may ask for shorter intervals, and those always come first. A competent person should also examine equipment after installation, after major repair and after any event that could affect its safety.
